rhodes memorial

Some friends came to visit from Namibia, and we did a bit of the touristy thing and went for breakfast at Rhodes Memorial. And I must say I just love this structure! The bronze sculptures are beautiful and the view amazing!

I also love the order that the columns create!

And then I can't quite make up my mind whether I like the rider on the horse more than the lions... I think I like BOTH!

Beautiful Pics!
We went to Rhodes Memorial this last time we were in Cape Town, which was the first time for a long time - in fact since I was a child. It was one of my dad's favourite places!

Hi janine - Rhodes Mem is such a sure bet for touristy breakfast! I live close by so that is even more of an excuse. If you haven't before you should also try the Montebello centre and Gardeners Cottage. We are actually spoilt for choice for beautiful places to take visitors!

Ah, sitting on the lions at Rhodes Mem is really so much more exciting than sitting on the ones in Trafalgar Square! Especially when the wind's howling.
