I received my FIRST fabric swatch from South Africa, which make logistical logic. And it is from...
Yip... from Jesse, and it is GORGEOUS!!! I just love it! Thanks Jesse! And now I am so excited to see what the others look like!

fabric swap!

Well I have done my printing for the fabric swap! It is "bunnies in plan view". I made a linocut and the printed it in two colour schemes. I like the grey option the most, and the design was not intended as a repeat pattern, but it ended up as one. So I kinda like it, it is quite subtle as the ears almost form a flower but then when looking close you can see it bunnies!

I have stuffed a few envelopes and will be heading off to the post office to mail the first lot! So hope you enjoy your little swatch!

Here's Jesse's idea: "I'm going to make a quilt, of simple squares, and I'd like it to be as colourful and varied as possible. So how about a swap? I'll send you a 20cm* square of one of my prints, and you send me one of yours. Medium-weight fabric, not too thick and not too thin, with a handprinted design. Small enough to stick in an ordinary envelope.Just leave a comment, and I'll contact you for a postal address. (Make sure I can find your email address somewhere on your website or blog!) And if you don't already print fabric, why not have a go? Potato prints, lino cuts, silkscreening, stencilling....And then join in - go through the comments left here, and contact each person to arrange a swap with them. What do you think?

hmmm... chocolate!

Well, the weekend had two great events, the one was meeting Robert Hodgins and the other one was attending Jezze's book launch and acquiring one of the books! I think the boook acts as a really beautifull catalogue (which I also got autographed!). I spent Saturday morning pouring over the book and then lent it too my mom to read. So after that we HAD to buy the two prints illustrating what happens to you when you are eat while lying down... you grow HORNS! That what my gran told my mom and that's what my mom told me! My mom said she always scanned her scalp to feel where the horns were growing! = ) So nou ja...
