Pier Place Landscape upgrade

I discovered this really super spot in Cape Town. It has been upgraded recently. Can you spot the bronze sculptures vs the real life people?
I LOVE the sculptures done by artist Egon Tania. Really super!!! He is better known for his sculptures in wood.

The landscaping was done by Earthworks Landscape Architects. The whole square has a great feel and even on a Saturday afternoon there were people using it, which is great! It is adjacent & parallel to Adderley Street, between Thibault Square and the CTICC.

These are wonderful. I just asked my boyfriend, who works there sometimes, about them; he said they're quite scary at night, because it looks like there are people there. But during the day people are interacting with them, sometimes in quite strange ways. He saw a woman hugging one of the statues...

The people overs at www.pps.org say if you see people with their shoes off then you know they are really at home in public places. Would you agree ?

I can imagine that they might be a bit scary at night! Ja the interaction is very interesting, like the small boy riding the bronze bike. And I think people must REALLY be at home if they walk barefoot in a public space!
